About Alchemist Design Studio

Alchemist Design Studio is a 3D visualisation studio based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We create photoreal renders, animations, virtual walkthroughs and 3D floor plans that help architects, interior designers, developers and product brands see, and sell, a design before it exists — and today we also create AI films, adverts and campaigns, presented by our AI presenter, Phoenix Grey.

We have been working in 3D since 2006 and have completed 489 projects. We are a small, specialist team with over 30 years of combined experience, and our portfolio spans private homes, hotels, safari lodges, offices and apartment developments in South Africa and abroad.

Meet Phoenix, our AI presenter

Alongside our 3D work, we now create films, adverts, product showcases and social content with the latest AI tools. Every piece is scripted, art-directed and finished by our studio, and held to the same standard of light, materials and detail as our renders.

Fronting that work is Phoenix Grey, our AI presenter: the face of the studio. She presents products, welcomes guests into hotels and bars, and walks buyers through homes and developments — even ones that only exist as our 3D renders.

How we work

Send us whatever you have: PDF or AutoCAD drawings, FBX models, mood boards, or even a sketch on a napkin. From there:

1. Brief and files. We confirm the views, rooms and deadline, and quote.
2. Modelling and materials. We build every element from scratch, including custom furniture, fabrics and finishes.
3. Draft views and feedback. You review camera angles and materials and ask for changes.
4. Final renders. We deliver high-resolution images or films, ready for presentations, approvals, brochures and online listings.
